My Approach
In counselling, I aim for you to
"have an experience, and have it be a good one."
I also follow the adage that "humans heal in relationships." Working with clients as a therapist for over 10 years has shown me just how true that is.
My approach to therapy is experiential, trauma informed, emotion focused and strength based. Within an overarching experiential and psychodynamic approach, I utilize strategies from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and cognitive processing therapy for some forms of trauma (CPT.) I also sometimes use tools and techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT.)
While I'm a Lethbridge therapist, I offer online mental health therapy to anyone living in Alberta.
